This policy explains what data Luis Taveras Colorist ("we") collects through this website (luistaverascolorist.com), what it is used for, who it is shared with and how long it is kept.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Controller: Luis Taveras Colorist — contact@luistaverascolorist.com. Dominican Republic. We take responsibility for the data and the material you trust us with: storing it carefully, using it only for what you gave it to us for, and deleting it when it is due.

2. What data we collect

  • Contact form and quote requests: your name, email, project type and whatever you write to us.
  • Suggestion box: it is anonymous. Only what you write is stored: we don't ask for your name or email, and we don't keep your account, your browser or the page you came from. Your IP address is not stored as such: only an irreversible code that changes every day, to keep the box from being flooded with automated messages.
  • Client portal account: your name and email, and a password stored encrypted — never in plain text. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google, nothing else.
  • Billing and payments: your invoice data, recorded payments and project notes.
  • Transfer receipts: if you pay by bank transfer and upload the receipt, we keep that file to verify the payment. It may contain your bank details; it is not shared with anyone.
  • Your project material: the files you upload for us to work on and the notes you send with them.
  • Chat: if you write in the chat, your question is sent to Google (Gemini) to generate the reply, and the conversation is stored so Luis can read it and answer you himself. Any files you send in the chat are stored with it and can only be opened by you and him. To write in the chat we ask for your name and your email, and they are stored with the conversation. When Luis closes the conversation, a full copy is emailed to you —files included— and everything is deleted from the server: neither the conversation nor the files stay here.
  • Technical data: your IP address and basic request data, for security and abuse prevention.
  • Acceptance record: when you accept these documents we store the date, your email, your IP address and the type of device you accepted from, along with the exact version of the texts. It is the record of what you accepted; it is not used for anything else.

3. What we do with the material you send us

What you send us for a project is confidential, and this is the only thing we do with it:

  • It is used only to deliver the service you hired.
  • It is kept in private Google Drive storage, not reachable from the internet.
  • Only the people working on your project can access it.
  • The raw material is never published. From the final result we may show short excerpts as a sample of our work, and only after release, under the terms.
  • We do not sell it, licence it or hand it to third parties, except where the law requires it.

4. Payments

Online payments are processed through PayPal. Your card or account details are entered directly on PayPal's platform: we never see or store them. We also accept bank transfer.

5. How long we keep each thing

The deletion is automatic and real: 30 days after we mark your project as delivered, your files are removed. The clock starts on the delivery date, not on the day you uploaded the file.

Nothing disappears by surprise. For the 7 days before, we email you every day. If you still need the material, you can request an extension. Even so, always keep your own copy.

6. Who we share data with

Only the providers needed to run the service. We do not sell your data and we do not hand it to anyone for advertising purposes.

Your information is yours. Confidentiality is not only about files: what you tell us about your project is confidential too. We do not discuss our clients' projects with other clients.

7. Cookies and tracking

We use browser storage (localStorage) to remember your language, your theme and which of our notices you have already seen, and strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in.

We also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which lets us measure whether our ads work. It may set LinkedIn cookies and receive your IP. You can opt out from LinkedIn's ad settings.

We use no other advertising, analytics or third-party tracking tool.

8. Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored encrypted and are not readable, not even by us. Material and receipts are kept in private storage. No system is infallible: if an incident ever affected your data, we will tell you.

9. Your rights

At any time you can ask us for access to your data, to correct it, to delete it or to stop using it. You can also ask us to delete your project material early: we do it without asking why.

Write to contact@luistaverascolorist.com and we will answer.

10. If you delete your account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. This is exactly what happens:

Deleted:

  • Your access to the portal and your profile data: name, email and password.
  • Any project material still in our storage.
  • The images of any transfer receipts you uploaded.
  • Your contact messages and quote requests.

Not deleted: your invoices and payment records.

That is not our call. The Dominican tax authority (DGII) requires us to keep them: article 50 of the Tax Code requires keeping accounting books, payment vouchers and any document relating to our operations for ten years. Once issued, an invoice stops being only your data: it becomes part of our accounting.

Those records stay for that purpose only. Once your account is deleted we do not use them to contact you or for any commercial purpose.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how the site works, we change this text too and update the date. And if these documents change, we will ask you to accept them again. This policy describes what the site does today.
